A visitor's note
Kisumu offered me everything that I was
looking for. The peaceful environs here were perfect to meditate. The vast
stretched farms offered an insight into the agricultural practices in Kenya.
The museum here transported me back into the history of Kisumu. I would love
to return back here but this time with more enthusiasm and more friends.
Where is it: On the eastern shores of Lake Victoria on what is
called Winam Gulf
What is it famous for: Kisumu Museum
A word about Kisumu, Kerala
It is the third-largest city in
Kenya and serves as the focal point of an area of intensive agriculture,
green valleys and hills, and occasional thick forest and mountains, led by
Mount Elgon to the north. It is the second municipality in Kenya to be
legally established as a "city," along with Nairobi. Kisumu is a
business and transportation hub, with service by road, rail, ship and air.
It is a natural base for visiting and doing business in Western Kenya.
